Title: PPM Roadmap @ Lonza & Why reporting should come first

Abstract:

At LONZA we were struggling with achieving and maintaining sufficient PPM data quality in the past. Consequently, it was difficult for executives to use the data as a robust source for decision making. So what did it take to make PPM work? This presentation will outline how we at LONZA significantly increased data quality and regained trust in planning data by combining Tempus Resource with a newly developed PPM reporting, aiming on improved usage of the system.

Daniel Echtle has been leading the IT Portfolio Management and has now taken over the position of Head of Business Applications for the Segment LSI at Lonza. Before the PPM role, Daniel was leading the Reporting & New Solutions team and has been working as IT project manager for different initiatives. Daniel has +20 years of experience in global operating companies with multi-industry practice in different roles within IT (mainly related to SAP), including 4 years of work experience in the USA as well as many projects all over the world. Besides spending time with his family he enjoys road cycling, skiing and hiking.

Title: Integrated resource management – Benefits of Tempus Resource and integrated KPI tracking

Abstract:
At Helvetia PPM data quality and transparency has been a huge challenge in the past. This presentation will outline our journey with Tempus Resource, our chosen integration path, and the lessons we learned along the way. Within the last 2 years we have been able to drastically increase the transparency over the portfolio but are still struggling with some data quality issues. How we cope with these issues right now and what our next steps for integration are will be shown in this presentation.

Title: Strategic Portfolio Management in Three Easy Steps

Bio:

Donna Fitzgerald is a former Gartner PPM Analyst for 10 years and is a passionate change agent in the PPM community. In the 90s she started the first worldwide online discussion group focused on PPM. In the 2000s she was a leader in the agile PPM movement, co-authoring the Agile Declaration of Interdependence as a follow-on to the Manifesto. In 2007 she joined Gartner and focused on helping PMOs around the world be more successful. In 2017 she started NimblePM, as Managing Director Inc to help companies prepare for and thrive in the digital future by becoming more adaptive and resilient.

Title: IT Resource Portfolio Management at Deloitte – Experiences during the way to take-over the Global Portfolio Management leadership and boosting speed and quality

Abstract:
This joint presentation is delivered by Deloitte’s head of IT PPM Elmar Lotz and Valkeen’s Head of Consulting, Marc Neckermann. Together they will share insights, success factors as well as realized and measurable benefits on Deloitte’s IT journey transforming their PPM to an advanced Resource Portfolio Management (RPM) unit which now serves as role model for all further global Deloitte divisions.

The presentation focuses on two aspects which are fully geared to each other: 1. Processual and methodological optimization and 2. Tool landscape optimization and value added by ProSymmetry’s Tempus Resource.

Elmar Lotz is ITS Project Portfolio Manager with almost 2 decades of successful experience in the IT of Deloitte Germany. Managing the IT project portfolio with a strategic focus, Elmar carries the overall responsibility for the PPM and resource management processes as well as the tool landscape in this area. He holds a diploma in business administration, is certified in ITIL and PRINCE2 and a qualified IT-system-engineer. Elmar enjoys a good tennis match, soccer, having a good time with friends and planning for the next adventure with his wife and daughter.
